ВТБ (VTBR)

VTB Bank – Russian commercial bank with state participation (60.9% owned by the state). The second largest bank in the country’s assets (after Sberbank) and the first on the size of the share capital. The bank’s head office is located in Moscow, the bank registered in St. Petersburg.
In May 2007, the Bank has conducted an initial public offering. 22.5% of VTB shares were placed during the placement among Russian and international investors.
The total volume of funds attracted in the framework of the IPO amounted to about 8 billion US dollars, making the placement of VTB shares in 2007 the second largest in the world and the largest bank IPO in Europe.
The bank’s assets amount to about 12.190 trillion rubles., the number of sotrudnikov- 103,000 people.
