Dollar of the United States of America (currency sign – $, bank code: USD) – the monetary unit of the United States, one of the major reserve currencies in the world. 1 Dollar = 100 cents. The right to the issue of money has the Federal Reserve System (Eng. Federal Reserve System), performed in the US as the central bank.
The US dollar also has the status of the national currency, in some other countries (eg, Marshall Islands, El Salvador).
The yen (currency sign – ¥, bank code: JPY) – the monetary unit of Japan, one of the world’s major reserve currency after the US dollar and the euro. In Japan, the price tag is used kanji 円. Internationally recognized status of the yen currency received May 11, 1953, when the International Monetary Fund has approved its parity in 2.5 milligrams of gold. From 1949 to 1971, the yen was pegged to the dollar and 360 yen per unit of US currency. During a series of successive revaluations against the US dollar and other major foreign currencies “weight” of the yen has grown considerably.
