NVIDIA Corporation – an American company, one of the largest developers of graphics cards and processors and chipsets. In the market the company’s products are known under such brand names as the GeForce, nForce, Quadro, Tesla, ION and Tegra.
The company was founded in 1993. The corporation over 8000 employees working in 40 offices worldwide. The company’s headquarters is located in Santa Clara, California. Major competitors – the company AMD (ATI), Intel. goduNVIDIA in 2001 was recognized as the most prosperous company engaged in semiconductors. In 2004, there is 3D media processor the GoForce 3D 4500 for mobile devices – the first in the world. In general, the entire history of the company – is the story of the creation of more and more “advanced” processors. Recent years have been marked by the struggle with the ATI (AMD). The fight is not over and still walking with varying degrees of success.
