Netflix (NFLX)
Netflix – an American company, a supplier of films and TV series based on streaming media. It founded in 1997. Headquartered in Los Gatos, California. In January 2016 the company has more than 69 million customers around the world.
Netflix works on a variety of devices and applications such as Smart TV, Windows Phone, Android, iOS, PC, Mac OS, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The company offers a free preview for a month from the date of registration. In January 2016 movies and TV shows from Netflix are available to customers as to the Ultra HD 4K (in the US also in 3D).
In recent years, Netflix launched its own production of soap operas, which are only available to their clients. In July 2013 Netflix was the first candidate of the providers of Internet video Emmy. The company has received 14 nominations, of which series from Netflix «House of Cards” was 9.
