CAC 40 – France (FCE)
CAC 40 (French abbreviation. Cotation Assistée en Continu, Russian. KEK-40) is the most important stock index in France. The index is calculated as a weighted arithmetic mean of capitalization value stock prices of the 40 largest companies whose shares are traded on the stock exchange Euronext Paris. The initial value of the index – 1000 points – was established December 31, 1987. Effective December 1, 2003, with the calculation of capitalization accounted for only shares held in free float. The tool has a high correlation with European stocks. Often forms stable trends. Good patient investors.
